Cookie Notice
The one cookie Nourity uses, and why
The short version: we use one strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in and keep forms secure. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking across other sites.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Some cookies are needed for a site to work. Others track you for analytics or advertising. Nourity only uses the first kind.
The cookie we use
| Name | Purpose | Type | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| session | Keeps you signed in after you enter your one-time code, and holds a security token that protects forms from cross-site request forgery (CSRF) | Strictly necessary, first-party | Up to 30 days after you sign in, or until you sign out |
The cookie is signed so it can't be tampered with, is only sent over HTTPS, and can't be read by scripts on the page.
Why we don't ask for consent
UK and EU law (in the UK, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) lets a site use cookies without consent when they are strictly necessary to provide a service you've asked for. Signing you in and protecting your account fall into that category. We still tell you about the cookie here.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but if you block this one you won't be able to sign in.
Security cookies from our network provider
Our site is served through Cloudflare, which protects it from attacks and bots. In some situations, for example if your traffic looks automated or you're asked to complete a security check, Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie (such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance). These are also strictly necessary, used only for security, and not used to track you. [Owner to confirm which Cloudflare features are enabled.]
What we don't use
- No analytics cookies.
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No social media pixels or third-party trackers.
We may add a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool to our public marketing pages in the future, with no health data and no tracking inside your journal. If we do, or if anything else changes, we'll update this notice first, and we'll ask for consent wherever the law requires.
